ABARTH Extra 330sc AT CARFEST NORTH 2013
This year CarFest North will visit Oulton Park Race Circuit in Cheshire – a stunning setting and one of the UK’s best race tracks… a real driver’s track which will see a fabulous selection of vehicles including motorcycles for the first time – sights and sounds provided by everything from historic Formula 1, Rally and Le Mans cars to Chris Evans’ Magnificent Seven Ferrari collection and Supercar marques such as Aston Martin and Lamborghini. Make sure you look out for the awesome Lancia 037 which was developed by Abarth for the World Rally Championship and in the air show Mark Jefferies will be performing one of his breath-taking air displays presented by Abarth in the Extra 330sc. Mark commented; “Those of you who went to CarFest last year will remember my air display during a thunder storm so this year we hope for some blue sky so the spectators can enjoy the show. There will be some interesting and varied aircraft at CarFest including the Vulcan Bomber and a P51 Mustang so there’s something to please everyone and I’m looking forward to putting on a good show – I hope everyone enjoys it… the only down-side is I can see everyone having a good time on the ground and I can’t be there to join in!”
But it’s not just about cars and motorbikes… a great lineup of live music including Texas headlining Friday night, on Saturday Ocean Colour Scene, The Feeling and Deacon Blue then on Sunday Jamie Cullum takes to the stage. It doesn’t stop there as there is loads to see and do for families and ‘foodies’ while chilling out at one of the ‘must do’ events of the year and it is all to support BBC Children in Need – just like our Little Gransden Airshow at the end of August but a bit bigger 😉
